This showed that Add-ins must be causing the problem, so I uninstalled some of these and Word behaved a bit better.<\/p>\n<p>To uninstall Add-ins, open Word 2010 and from the file menu choose Options and then Add-ins from the left hand menu.<\/p>\n<p>This shows you a list of the Add-ins in Microsoft Word.<\/p>\n<p>From the Manage drop-down box at the foot of the page select Com-Add-ins and then click the Go button.<\/p>\n<p>This now shows the Com-Add-ins that load when you open up Word 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Just untick the ones that you suspect are causing the problems.
