Fortunately, the Control Panel\u2019s Power Options lets you change what the power button does, and there\u2019s one power-button option which lets you shut off all the displays in a multi-monitor setup without your PC going to sleep or logging out.<\/p><div id=\"pchel-66217167\" class=\"pchel-qbs-adsence-content pchel-entity-placement\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-8454708912439696\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-8454708912439696\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"8098774585\" \ndata-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins>\n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n<\/div><br style=\"clear: both; display: block; float: none;\"\/>\n<p>This process should work on all machines running the Windows 10 Creators Update.<\/p>\n<p>First you need to open the Control Panel and select <strong>System<\/strong> and then <strong>Power &amp; Sleep<\/strong>. Now select <strong>Additional power settings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In the Control Panel, click <strong>Change plan settings<\/strong> next to whichever radio button you use for your usual power plan.<\/p>\n<p>On the next screen, click <strong>Change advanced power settings<\/strong> and a small pop-up window appears. Click the plus icon to the left of <strong>Power buttons and lid<\/strong>. This displays three more options. Select the plus icon next to <strong>Power button<\/strong> action.<\/p>\n<p>In the pop up widow, each Setting is shown in blue and may already be set to Shut down.<br \/>\nNow click the Setting you want to change and the blue text changes to a drop-down menu. You can choose <strong>Do nothing<\/strong> to deactivate it, choose <strong>Sleep<\/strong>, or <strong>Shut down<\/strong>, or <strong>Turn off the display<\/strong>.<br \/>\nFor our Option to work you should <strong>Select Turn off the display, click Apply, and then OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Now test it out by pressing your power button and your monitor(s) should just turn off.
