A few new features of the Windows Notepad app
Windows Notepad has some nifty features that you might not be aware of. Here are just a few:
1. Spell Check and Autocorrect: Notepad can now automatically check and highlight spelling mistakes as you type and correct typos.
2. Dark Mode: You can switch Notepad to dark mode to reduce eye strain, especially in low-light environments.
3. Find and Replace: The find and replace feature has been upgraded, making it easier to search for and replace text within your documents.
4. Multi-Level Undo: This feature allows you to undo multiple actions, which is handy if you make several changes and need to revert them.
5. Change Font Size and Style: You can customise the default font size and style to suit your preferences.
6. Line and Word Wrap: Notepad supports line and word wrap, which helps view long lines of text without horizontal scrolling.
7. Status Bar: The status bar at the bottom of Notepad shows the current line and column number, which is useful for editing code or large text files.
8. Zoom In and Out: You can zoom in and out of your text using the View menu or keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl + Plus/Minus).
9. Continue Previous Session: This saves all your Notepad tabs for future use.
These features make Notepad more versatile and much more user-friendly. And you will see them all by opening Notepad settings (the cog in the right-hand corner).
