Set up a Transparent Taskbar
Whether you’re using Windows 10 or the newer Windows 11, achieving a transparent taskbar is straightforward.
Let’s explore the steps for both operating systems:
For Windows 10 you use the TranslucentTB app.
1. Open the Microsoft Store and navigate to the TranslucentTB app.
2. Click the Get button to download and install the app.
3. Once installed, click the Open button.
4. In the system tray (bottom-right corner), locate the TranslucentTB icon.
5. Click the icon and choose your desired transparency effect. If you select 'Clear' this will make your taskbar fully transparent.
For Windows 11 you can use the built in Transparency Effects.
1. Right-click the Start menu on your Windows 11 taskbar (or use the Windows key + I shortcut to open Settings).
2. Go to the Personalization tab.
3. Select Colors on the right pane.
4. Turn on the Transparency effects toggle.
Now you have a transparent taskbar in Windows 10 and Windows 11!
