However, one must be cautious about the source and authenticity of files on the Internet as there are many rogue website's which may cause more harm than good. You may contact the official website of the application for a DLL file and make sure you download the correct version.

Another option is to uninstall the application and try reinstalling it again. This should take care of the missing or corrupt DLL file.

In case the problem has been created by a virus, the file may be there but your computer may still show the file not found error. In this case, you must thoroughly scan and clean your system with the latest version of a good quality antivirus and anti-spyware tool.

Finally, many applications while being uninstalled leave traces behind, especially in the Windows registry. Therefore, it is recommended that you clean your Windows registry of such redundant entries by performing a deep registry scan with the help of a registry cleaning tool.
